A Sojourner in Life
I took this photo several weeks ago before Minnesota winter weather arrived. I love it because both he and I share the need for a walking stick as we traverse the terrain. I find that the staff's length offers greater stability over unsafe or rugged ground. Which reminds me, I haven't
been on a good hike for a long time. Time to get moving if I want to become a sojourner in life!

I do like the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like me and railings. I never take the stairs without a railing to hold on too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fine statue. And I like your new header. You go, girls!
ReplyDeleteWe all need something to stablelize us at times. My Dad use to make beautiful plexiglass canes as a hobby...which I thought was a silly thing to make..Now I wish I owned one.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried walking with a stick!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried a walking stick either, never needed to although one of my knees doesn't seem to like any walking that goes for more than half an hour so perhaps I might need to at some point.
ReplyDeleteI too walk with a stick but not quite as long as that.
ReplyDeleteA nice sculpture. I used first one, then a pair of walking poles to aid my balance. I think I used them properly but ended up with too many sore shoulders and wrists and abandoned them. So far my balance has been ok without them.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to determine who is the person this sculpture depicts... Some years back a friend of our daughter made us walking sticks out in Colorado. They were great for hiking rocky terrain. BTW, your blog is one of many that no longer shows on my computer. I don't get any updates for the Asia/Pacific area. Something's screwed.
ReplyDeleteMine travels with me wherever I go.
ReplyDeleteTim e to get moving, taking photographs....
