Flowers, Flowers, Everywhere!
No, spring has not sprung in St. Paul, Minnesota. 6-8 inches of snow was forecast for last night and today. . . enough is enough. Yes, the ground is already covered with several inches. It is not a pleasant April morning greeting! I doubt that I will be venturing out for a photo shoot, so I decided to post more photos from my recent visit to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park. Indulge me, won't you?

Aw, c'mon Kate, get your boots on and get out there and show us the snow! Just kidding! These late snowfalls were always the most discouraging things I could imagine. You get all psyched up for spring and warmth and then it snowed! I really do feel for you. But your photo is superb and yellow is such a great and warm color and I appreciate that. Hang on, spring will come. Honest!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking we were attending high school in the Twin Cities about the same time. Where did you go? I graduated from Minnehaha Academy in 1954.
Jim graduated from Saint Paul Academy in 1954! I graduated the same year, but I am a Packer Backer from Green Bay, Wi.
DeletePS. He doesn't recall anyone from Minnehaha; his buddies were all SPA and Cretin, many from childhood friendships.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous rose! I don't blame you for not wanting to go out. It's just crazy that so many places are still dealing with snow.
ReplyDeleteSo Beautiful to See the ranunkeln. So wonderful flowers
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! We are supposed to get rain this afternoon and I am hoping we will see no more snow. We haven't had any on the ground here for a few weeks now!
ReplyDeleteA Packer Backer? Oh, whatever will we do? My class at Minnehaha was fairly small - 150 I think. Funny, that we all graduated the same year. Lois Anne graduated from St. Louis Park HS in 1957. She's just a kid!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe're supposedly getting snow in the evening. We did have some light snow yesterday afternoon for awhile.
A lovely rose, I love the colour. Too bad for the never ending snow, that would depress me at this time of year. We are experiencing lots of rain the last few days and I find that depressing too but am glad there is no snow. Spring has to show up eventually, at least I am hoping. :)
