While enjoying my morning coffee and navigating through the eEdition of the Star Tribune (yes, I am getting used to it!), I heard the scraping of shovel against snow. Randy, the faithful yard and snow genii, had been up since 2 am servicing his grateful customers. Ever mindful of my recent knee surgery, he warned me that it is "sheer ice" under the cover of snow. Guess I'll stay housebound today!

Yuck! I hope it isn't heading this way!
ReplyDeleteOh Kate, this reminds me of growing up in Michigan and hearing the scrape of blade against pavement as Louis, our snow removal genie, cleared our driveway before dawn. Nowadays, I do it with shovel or my new snow blower. But no snow as of yet.
ReplyDeletePlease send the snow to Canada. The rainy weather here is ruining our reputation.
ReplyDeleteWow, the worst of winter has arrived in your part of the world. I'd stay inside too! It might be a good day to bake something.
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that here. We've had the odd snowfalls, but it hasn't lingered as of yet.
ReplyDeleteI don't miss those days but I still love looking at beautiful snowy scenes. Be careful if you go out, don't need any new bumps or bruises.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have people you can rely on.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I don't have to worry about snow and ice. I can see it from here, and can get to it in less than two hours. That's as close as I want to be on a regular basis. Probably sounds boring to many.
Oh how nice he makes the road snowfree and warns you!
ReplyDeleteBrrr that looks cold. It is so pretty but I hate that it is keeping you house bound.
ReplyDeleteA good guy to have around and a very wise decision to stay in the house today Kate.
