When the outside temperature is below zero and the wind chill is double digits, sitting with a good book beside a fireplace with a roaring fire is the best place to be.
Very nice! I actually heard a story about the very cold temperatures in the upper midwest on the PBS news hour last night. I know that I grew up in that part of the world but, I don't think I could handle that kind of cold any longer.
This beautiful scene reminds me of a certain Christmas song. And it makes me nostalgic for Minnesota in the winter. Stop laughing, it really does! Doesn't mean I'm going to move back there anytime soon, but...
How's your knee? Hope your knee held out and that you had a wonderful time!
What a lovely and cozy photo, Kate. I can see you sitting in a comfortable chair or sofa with a hot beverage beside you and a good book. Sounds perfect!

It isn't quite as cold here as you have it but it is still really cold and that fireplace looks so welcoming!
ReplyDeleteIt looks inviting. The deep cold has settled in here too.
