481 Laurel Avenue, St Paul, Minnesota
is
the birthplace on September 24, 1896 of novelist
F. SCOTT FITZGERALD
This residence is designated as a Literary Landmark by
Friends of Libraries, U.S.A.
In 2006 I did a photographic series of some of the landmarks in the life of F. Scott Fitzgerald. I think enough time has passed to repeat it because some of you may not have been part of CDP eleven years ago.
For the next few days, I will show you places where he lived, went to school during his early years, and where he hung out. He was born in this building to Edward and Mollie McQuillan Fitzgerald.
A pretty house with those balconies.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't around eleven years ago Kate and I'm a Scott Fitzgerald fan so will look forward to this series very much. This is a big house where he was born!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the series so I, also, shall look forward to your photos. The birthplace looks good for its age. I remember when it was built. Heh, heh!
ReplyDeleteThis will be an interesting series.
ReplyDeleteA quiet place. I look forward to more.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your series. I've read his books years ago and am a big fan. This is an outstanding looking building.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteYes, I missed your original posts. Quite a nice old home. I'll bet it was really something in its day.
