Fruits of Choice
Both of these signs were part of the decoration in Mon Petit Chérie, a small cafe I recently visited and enjoyed. The pie reminds me of the outstanding pies made with small tart cherries in Door County, Wisconsin. and the apples are reminiscent (other than the price) of the wonderful apples available close to the Twin Cities in Minnesota.

That's become my motto of late: eat more pie. And I'm trying. Cherry is my fave but I like apple pie, too. Speaking of prices, I remember back in the late 50s, early 60s, in Phoenix/Scottsdale, one could pick grapes for 5 cents a pound or buy a whole bag already picked for 10 cents a pound. And they were soooo good.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a good slice of pie in a long time. I think I'll go find one.
