Extreme and Practical Fashions of Saint Laurent
I enjoyed the exhibit and loved looking at the varied styles Saint Laurent created during his successful career. I must confess, though, that most of them are garments that I would not be brave enough to wear nor have a place to go to wear them. The lovely white dress at the bottom is one that I would have enjoyed wearing for a special social event.

ReplyDeleteI've often wondered who does wear the designs created by these "name" designers. Nobody I know could afford them for one thing. And some of them are so goofy that one would be laughed at for wearing them. That said, these are kinda sexy!
ReplyDeleteHe was a wonderful designer but, I agree most of his things were not practical for most women.
ReplyDeleteNever seen anyone dressed like this walking the streets. I laughed at Tanya's comment, your neighbors probably would wonder what happened. :)
ReplyDeleteMost of what fashion designers put out on the runway, you'd never see worn on the streets.
ReplyDeleteThe short-skirted, peacock-plumed attire would look strange on anyone.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see this exhibition, fashion is not only to wear on the streets, but also a way to express your creativity.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. The last one is the only one I'd wear.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you wear that pink tailed number to events where you don't want people getting too close...or you don't want to see people behind you...?? I think it's clear: I'm too literal for high fashion.
