No more little ones! These are just a few of the holiday books that come out every Christmas, but the adolescents and adults don't seem to be that interested anymore. I could donate them to Goodwill where all my gently-used items wind up, but I'd like to know just a little bit more about the children who will read them. Our neighborhood children want for few things so I think I will find a homeless shelter; perhaps it will bring some children some pleasure.

that's a good idea. or maybe a child advocacy group.
ReplyDeleteYou could also put a few in the book box.
ReplyDeleteGreat, great idea and I love these vintage books! :)
ReplyDeleteoh just keep them, they have great memories attached! we have our christmas books packed with the christmas stuff and i set them under the tree each year :) 2 were my husband's when we was little and a few were given to my kids from my mom but she has passed now...
ReplyDeleteThat is an excellent idea! A perfect place for these treasures.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a great idea for your "gently used" Christmas books!
ReplyDeleteThose are treasures from the past, you have to keep them. Children mostly don't like the books we had, different times, different use of languages.
ReplyDeleteHold onto them, Kate. The adolescents will become adults and parents before you blink, and their children might start a new cycle of loving them.
ReplyDeleteKate, I appreciated your visits while I was away for a month in Africa and mostly incommunicado.
