I often forget to try black and white so I thought I would experiment with this photo since I didn't really like the color tones of the one on the left. I think that both photos are too dark. Jack is a musician, folk singer, and story teller whom I recently heard perform. Very entertaining man!

I wouldn't have thought it . . BUT, i prefer the black and white photo . .
ReplyDeleteI sure like that there's a musician, singer, teller in your neighborhood . . .
He blends in too much with the background in the color shot. Although I might lighten the B&W version just a little bit. :)
ReplyDeleteyou can just tell he's a character!
ReplyDeleteGood job Kate, this one looks good in B & W.
ReplyDeleteYep. I think I like the B&W better. It works. And it could be lightened a tad without suffering.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure a reason can be discovered why those color tones go "off" in lower light situations. And I'm sure there's a setting to avoid it. One of these days I'm going to take on learning the why of it...
i think color is always better!
ReplyDeleteThe black and white looks better in this instance. He does look like quite a character.
ReplyDeleteIt can be fun seeing the two versions. I might prefer the color version. His white hair stands out a bit more and the bright red shirt is part of his overall look. But preferences are all personal, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI think the black and white is better to look at. The colours the man is wearing, are a bit to colurful....
