"A slack line"

I met both Becca and Taylor in the waterfront park in Beaufort.  I watched in fascination as they both practiced balancing and walking on "the slack line." Both are beautifully agile young women. I politely declined their kind offer to show me how to do it.

  2. I think I would join you and just watch them walk the line.

  3. How do they do that? Must not only be agile but have a great sense of balance. I think your decision was wise. I wouldn't try it 'cause I'm a little unbalanced to begin with. Well, that's what some people say...

  5. I envy their great sense of balance. I'm wobbly on terra firma. :))

  6. Oh my, that is a talent I don't possess. Good for them.

  7. Ya, I'd pass too. Don't need a broken leg at the start of the summer.

  8. I don't even have that kind of balance walking on the ground. Great job.

  9. My reaction would be the same as yours. Even if they showed me how to do it, I am sure I could not do it, even if I did not have an old tennis injury that now prevents me from raising my left heel off the ground.

  10. I have seen young people doing this. It's amazing. I have trouble staying upright on level ground.

  11. Are they practicing for the circus?

  12. I think you were right to watch! Although I might be able to try this since it doesn't appear to be too high! ;)

  16. Gosh. In years past I would be on the line, but no longer. Does that mean I am getting old?

  18. Reminds me of the film, "Man on Wire." But he went much higher. This isn't in my skill set. . .nor likely ever to be.

  19. I'd be afraid to try it even at that height!

  20. Amazing feat (pardon the pun!) How on earth do they do that, their balance must be perfect.

  21. Holy Moly! It would be an unmitigated disaster if «Louis» tried this! Can you imagine one cache on a slack line?!
