I think the whole country is for Obama but McCain supporters are going round saying their man is leading in Ohio of all places. I don't think so. Will be interesting to me to see how far it will go.

I hope your man wins. We are voting for him and with my name and relationships we should vote the other tickets. But we have had our fingers burned twice in a row and now we know that stove is too hot to touch. It does more harm than good.

  7. you asked how i feel about Mbeki's resignation, and comment that maybe we shouldn't get political on blogs... I have no problem with getting political, a blog is a personal space for expressing personal views, and if we feel passionate about politics, it would be a shame not to express that. Perhaps the City Daily photo is the wrong place to vent, because it is a specific format, but I often vent on my personal blog about the goings on in South Africa! In the past, i have been extremely critical of Mbeki and his leadership, or lack thereof.... so I was completely taken by surprise just now, watching his resignation speech, to find that I feel sad to see him go!!!!! The speech showed more involvement and leadership than anything we have seen for at least the past year, but it is too little too late. I think that the prospect of Jacob Zuma as his successor also has a LOT to do with it, a bit like "better the devil you know....".... I think that a person who has spent a huge part of the last few years in court on charges of rape and corruption, and whose signature song is "bring me my machine gun" is a scary prospect as our future leader!

  10. Hi Kate! After a short break but a long absence, I’m finally back to the blogosphere and paying attention; well, I think everybody is or should be...
Congrats on your birthday (a bit late, but anyhow...). It seems September has a lot of birthdays around... ;)
Many thanks for your comments on Blogtrotter while I was off. It’s now on its way to Crete! Hope you enjoy and wish you a great week ahead!

  11. If I could you would have it.

Just reading Suzi K's Comments. My partner is the BBC Politics Show Cartoonist(and teacher) and he has a blog he mixes Political artwork with his other artwork. I'm for people doing whatever they want on a blog, even if I vehemently disagree with it.

    Everything x'd for Obama.
