Mounted on the original south-facing arched doorway of Unity-Unitarian Church in St. Paul is a bronze relief created by Nick Legeros. A metaphor for the spirit flying into and through the church,
We Dare Not Fence the Spirit, was dedicated in 1994 to celebrate 20 years of ministry at Unity by former pastor Roy Phillips.
A lovely and original "window".

ReplyDeleteI need to walk and see this up close, Kate. I met Nick over a decade ago when I wanted to do a project at a local hospital. I got to spend an afternoon at his forge, and it was incredible!
ReplyDeleteLike that early Renaissance interior.
