Split second timing!
I pulled up behind this cyclist on Summit Avenue, both of us waiting for the light to change. My camera was on the floor behind me. I put the car in park, opened both car doors, grabbed the camera, hopped back into the front (hoping my timing was right), and got a snapshot through the windshield. One of the best scenes of this summer!!

Oh this is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGood work! It does scream SUMMER!
I can just imagine you scrambling out to get your camera!
...and good for her...running errands on her bike...
Glad the light was red, this is a great capture, Kate!
ReplyDeleteClick! ;-) Wonderful capture.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder who the flowers were for. Maybe for a loved one, an art project, just to beautify her home? Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun shot, it made me smile to think of all the possible stories which could go along with this cyclist and her lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteTotal serendipity, Kate. I love it! Not only is it a great summertime photo, it shows creative problem solving to a T--look how she's carrying her flowers so that her hands are free for the bicycle!
ReplyDeleteOn her way to brighten some ones (maybe her own) day! She has brightened yours already! Neat capture.
ReplyDeleteLove shots that capture life as it goes along!

ReplyDeleteI love this shot Kate! Great catch!
ReplyDeleteNice and clear. I'm impressed that you actually hopped out and back to get your camera.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh.. we're going to call you 'quick draw Kate' :) this fab shot and all before the lights changed, that's pretty cool Kate!
ReplyDeleteSportif, sexy, flowers, nice posture... What more do you want?
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
I am having a hard time responding to Filip's site. Although his post can be translated, I can't figure out how to navigate the comment section. Anyone know how?
DeletePhew! You got it! That "gotta get it" pressure can be a bit much, can't it? Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is cute, Kate. I like the idea that she has a purpose and we can jump momentarily into her life and observe her and guess about it, but the purpose remains hers alone.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Kate! The mix of colors and the story behind the shot make it one of my favorites, too.
ReplyDeleteGood job Kate!!! Just in the nick of time!!!
ReplyDeleteWild woman! Very nice shot indeed.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good reason to keep a nice clean windshield. You must be quick.
