When I worked for a Member of Congress in the early 1970's, there was a Congressman whose office was near ours and he brought his great dane to work. He let the dog roam free on our floor of the office building. The dog would walk into and out of our offices whenever he felt like it. Visitors at times were startled to step off the elevator and be facing a giant dog. The dog once bit our chief of staff.
This one brought back memories Kate. Our last neighbours had THREE Great Danes, all three jet black..as you can imagine they would never have problems with break-ins or the like..Funny thing is they were really gentle, it made me laugh if something scared them they would stand with their legs shaking, it just didn't seem to fit the image haha!
That is one grand critter! Beautiful dog. I like the green steps.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up I loved dogs, but was always leery when they were bigger than me.

ReplyDeleteI find this amusing. I think that there are plenty of people who wouldn't mind having a dog who bites politicians!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful dogs. Nice portrait of her!

ReplyDeleteIf he barked at me, I would definitely pay attention. :)
