Apple-a-Day #5

This should bring another artist to mind!

The following quotes might jog your memory:

"Sun-bleached bones were most wonderful against the blue - that blue that will always be there as it is now after all man's destruction is finished. "

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for."

BIG HINT (But don't peek!  If you've ever received an email from me, you'll have a terrific clue!)

Who is it?

  1. I didn't have to peek, I have good memory for quotes: Georgia O'Keeffe!

  2. I didn't read the clues...my first thought was Georgia O'Keefe. Maybe I should go back now and see if I'm right.

  4. If Georgia O'Keefe had been tasked with painting an apple, this could be what she would have done.

  5. I'll have to agree with the other very smart people...but the first thought that came to mind was Rorschach inkblot test!

I've fixed Images-L & L Photography so comments are now possible!

Hope all is well with you. Sorry about the new snow. Aggravating, I would guess!

  6. I like the painting but would not have known the artist in the quote. I knew that Sharon would know who it was though.
We also have new snow here, but not nearly as much as you!

  7. G.O of course. They have a great show of her art supplies at the museum. I am just waiting for First Friday when it's free.

  8. I thought of Georgia O'Keefe too...but then second guessed myself because it's not her usual fare...
