The vineyard and restaurant, Vino in the Valley, serves some tasty pasta dishes in addition to pizza. Eating outside during the summer and early fall is part of the pleasure.
Several of the wineries that we visited in Sonoma recently had ovens like this so visitors could enjoy lunch outdoors while sampling wine.
Now, Julie wants to build a brick oven in our back yard. She even bought a brick oven cookbook at the gift shop in one of the wineries. I tried to convince her it was premature to buy a cookbook for an oven that we do not have, but of course I lost that conversation.
Bonjour sweet Kate! Wow it's a new word for my vocabulary here, thanks so much for teaching me!Very impressive oven, I think the pizza made there for sure is delicious! Hugs Léia
Only today I was thinking how great it would be if I had two or three ovens! I could bake cookies and a cake and a pizza at the same time! And here you are with multiple ovens. How fantastic...
These ovens give so special taste and smell to any bread prepared there.
ReplyDeleteI like the close up of it.
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the best way to cook pizza!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that oven has put out some good pizzas! yummy, now I have a craving.
ReplyDeleteI love eating outside! And I love brick oven pizza! So my logical conclusion is I would love this place too!

IT's finally bearable to sit outside here. The weather is warm with a cool breeze and no skeeters!
ReplyDeleteThat is an oven to be proud of. Not one that is easily fitted into a modern kitchen :-)
ReplyDeleteI love those ovens! And what a great post for the O Day! Hope you have a beautiful day! Enjoy!

Lovely and artistic shot...but why does my mouth start to water just looking at it! Perhaps I can smell that pizza baking?
