Minnesota Workers Series #1

A year or so ago, I posted a Minnesota Workers Series which was well-received so I decided to try it again. Meet Kara, a barista at my local Starbuck's Cafe on Ford Parkway in Highland Village. She and her colleagues were very busy during this photo session of mine.

Two more days and I will have posted 500 photos on this blog (not counting my Mazatlan, México blog!)

  1. I love seeing people "do what they do". I'll enjoy this series very much.

Congrats on your upcoming 500th. My 100th is in a few days, so I'm in awe. :)

  2. I love seeing people's offices or people in action.

I'm not sure how to even count how many posts I've made, but 500 is certainly impressive!

  3. 500 photos c'est énorme, bravo et c'est un plaisir pour nous.
Les Starbuck me font toujours penser a mon premier voyage a NYC ou je les ai découvert, maintenant on en trouve partout dans Paris.

  5. Friends don't let friends go to Starbucks! Plus I don't think you can say "workers" and "Starbucks" in the same sentence.... Avanti popolo!

  7. Let me be the first to congratulate you on 500 posts.

I just read a piece about the state of our economy and how many big names and lesser ones are going bankrupt.

I had heard that Starbucks was in trouble with $4.00 a cup coffee. They were not on the list I saw today.

I like your photograph, Kate. Do you suppose the lady is (probably) working a second job trying to make ends meet.

  12. A nice idea! Regarding Starbucks and similar chains, I'm a bit reluctant to see the invasion! Coffee places, restaurants, shops... start to look too much the same all around the world!

Well, I will be back for the congratulations... still two to go! But 498 is already very good!
