Great Marketing System

On Sunday mornings DH and I sneak over to a fantastic bakery in Minneapolis, the Rustica, on the corner of 46th Street and Bryant Avenue. As we left today we ran into Mark Vickerman, a realtor at Maple Lane Realty who gives away pumpkins each year to patrons of the bakery and coffee shop. We got two beauties for our grandkids. What a marvelous marketing system for his business. So, if any of you "out there" are in the market for a new residence or if you are moving to the Twin Cities, visit Mark's website at www.maplelanerealty.com.

  5. What a great thing to do. Realtors in this area give out flags around Memorial or Labor Days.

By the way, Kate, I'm it, and I'm tagging you. To get more information on playing, go to Nashville Daily Photo

  7. If he's anything like the realtors of my experience, he'll probably tell you it's got 3 bedrooms, a luxury kitchen and an amazing view....!

  9. They're beauties!
Sorry I haven’t visited as much as I would like lately. I have been hellish busy, not least because I am standing for election as a presidential officer in our teacher union – lots of extra campaigning work, and also trying to keep the home fires burning, and the blog going!

  11. Pumpkins are everywhere now. I got a small one for my coffee table and have to still get one for outside.

  13. Great gimmick...but in today's real estate market, he'll need a lot more...Maybe a pumpkin pie? ;-)

  16. I wonder if he has a pumpkin field and these were his investments? And that cute little marketer alongside him - very appealing.

  18. Great marketing idea and nice photo. I've never taken part in the pumpkin carving but that must be great fun.

Thanks so much for your comments on Menton DP and Monte Carlo DP whilst I was away, Kate.

  19. Giving away pumpkins. A very cute idea.

Plus, if they grow there, like they grow here, it wouldn't be too much of an outlay for him, to purchase them, to give away. They are very prolific around 'my neck of the woods.' ,-)

  20. Nice picture and great idea. Thanks for visiting Ystad Daily Photo. It's interesting that you mention the muslim association. I guess we can blame the media. I think their often exaggerated focus on muslim issues, makes us react this way.

  21. That is a great idea. Who doesn't love pumpkins? Just noticing the girl's shoes...is it still warm enough in St Paul to wear Crocs?!

  23. It's almost invariably simple good things like this that restore my faith in humanity.

I fully understand that many folks don't have the same beliefs and political views I do, but everyone can relate to plain old good heartedness.
