    These guys rise to challenges that would dissuade so many of us. Do you have an in with this team for some special reason? I don't know how I'd ever get such a picture.

    I didn't know that Border's Books (in the background) had been causing so much trouble in St. Paul... Perhaps too much "freedom of the press" on the shelves?...

    No influence, but my white hair helps. I was going to Borders to pick up a CD and saw three squad cars, a Black Maria with some Swat Team members inside plus a group on the outside. They didn't look nefarious nor threatening so I just walked up and said, "Hey, I'd like to take some pictures of you guys." They obliged, took my blog address, and one offered to take a picture of me with a few of them. Who could refuse??
