Last year I found Karen's small shop at a Flea Market on one of our road trips. I returned this year to buy some jewelry for my grand-daughter who just had her ears pierced, my daughter, and myself. When I couldn't find "exactly" what I wanted, Karen whipped up a pair of earrings to match a necklace in no time flat. Karen comes from a family of 11 children and early learned how to be flexible and to please. Both qualities that come in handy in her own small business.

Ten Thousand Villages #2
This is an example of the jewelry available in the shop on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. Check yesterday's post for information on the Fair Trade shop.
