Who's the Artist?
This photo represents just a small portion of a very large wall mural in the Pajarito, a restaurant in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is an obvious nod to el dia de los muertos since it is billed as a Mexican restaurant, so that would make sense as an image for Day of the Dead. Intrigued I asked two of the employees for the name of the artist, but neither of them was able to provide me with the information. I guess I'll just have to return to do some more research and eat a bit more of their delicious food.

If I was there, I'd join you for that next visit to this restaurant. Sounds like my kind of place.
ReplyDeleteThat does make you look twice!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to find a good Mexican restaurant - especially with a mural like that one!
ReplyDeleteI'd come too. But I must say that header picture is NOT "Visual Saint Paul"! I know. I've been there. :^)
ReplyDeleteScary, like Mexican food is for me ... to much fire in the dishes.
ReplyDeleteIt can be tricky finding out "who did that?" Sometimes stuff like that could have been a couple of owners ago. It's really too bad that work like this isn't signed.
ReplyDeleteYes, before I finished reading your post I thought it reminded me of the day of the dead. Still clever artistry though.
ReplyDeleteI like Mexican food and the mural is great too. Hope you find out who the artist is on your next visit.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of Mexican restaurants here...We could eat at a different one every night for a month. Hope you can find out the artist.
