A Mural/Poster
When driving in unfamiliar areas, many new and interesting sights can be seen. I visited a friend in Minneapolis recently and noticed this unusual old, faded and a bit tattered poster on a wall of a building on 38th and Cedar. The image is quite arresting given our climate change debate plus the large Native American population that lives in Minneapolis. One can view this photo in many different ways, and I speculate that we could have a great conversation about the possibilities of interpretation.

The mural sends a powerful message.
ReplyDeleteVery powerful indeed. Looks like Sitting Bull.
ReplyDeleteVery timely!
ReplyDeleteair quality in our cities.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. If this were in California, I'd say it were a commentary on wildfires.
ReplyDeleteThis is a piece of art that actually conveys a message - unlike lots of contemporary art which mystifies me.
ReplyDeleteAs you say it could make a great topic of conversation. Thanks for participating Kate.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the commercials I used to see where a Native American man was looking at trash in rivers and then he turns toward the camera with a tear running down his face.
