Reality

Many CDP bloggers and I as well post photos which put our city in the best light with beautiful and attractive scenery in the best parts of town.  Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes reality is overwhelming.  That beautiful soft snowfall which is so scenic usually descends to unattractive lumps and heaps of tired snow.

  1. Snow is beautiful in the mountains, up in the trees and on postcards. NOT when you have to move it yourself ...

  13. Particularly on the roadsides, where a lot of salt and sand is put down with the snow before it's plowed to the side, the piles can get to look pretty ugly.

  15. I was at our local grocery this morn and wished I had had my camera...the pile of snow from that parking lot was probably 8-10 ft. tall. I don't remember ever seeing one quite as big as it around here.
