Regular Folks-Monday Mural

Several years ago I posted a  photo of this St. Paul mural, on Selby Avenue,  but I decided it was about time that I revisited the location to take another.  I seldom see it without cars at the curb in front of the brick wall,  which effectively covers part of the mural.  One afternoon I got lucky, no cars at the curb so I circled the block to return to get a clear shot.

  1. Sometimes we take people for granted. This mural reminds us that it would be tough to get by on our own.

  8. Great subject in this mural.
I've got one that I have been by so many times hoping that there will be no cars but so far no luck.

  10. That is a good one. Did an individual do this on his/her own or was it sponsored?

    1. Don't know the answer to your question, Jack, but the next time I'm in that neighborhood, I'll stop and go into the building to try to find out. If I do, I'll let you know.

  11. Your extra effort was well rewarded. The title really resonates with me and speaks for all communities. This mural has been exceptionally preserved since 2002 (if I'm reading the lower left corner correctly). Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  13. Love it! Parked cars can just ruin the subject we want to photograph so very often!

  14. A great reminder of the contributions of the often overlooked value of some of the people that we take for granted. Nice that you lucked into it without cars parked in front of it this time. I sometimes make early morning trips back to murals just so I can photograph them without distractions.
