Getting Ready!

The entire process of getting ready for a race is quite fascinating. I can't imagine why there are so many handlers for each horse. I suppose it's because each race follows closely behind the one preceding it...usually about 30-35 minutes. Many hands make quick work!

  2. This horse is indeed the center of attention.

I am glad that you are enjoying the series on the total eclipse of the sun that Julie is running on her Scottsdale Daily Photo site. It was a great trip to the South Pacific.

Julie and I have started a new blog to show some of our favorite travel photos, starting with a series from Petra, Jordan.

  4. They are such incredible animals. Bred and born to do one thing.

These are magnificent animals. To be almost as nice as a lap dog but bigger. I like just about everything about horses.

  8. We don't see this often and the horse seems to feel uneasy. Very good shot.
