What a joy it is to have St. Kate's for a neighbor! I get to roam the campus, enjoying the beautiful flowers, the pond with its ducks, turtles and fountain plus the friendly students and inspiring faculty. I have also attended many performances and lectures in this spacious auditorium.
Located on the scenic main campus of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, The O’Shaughnessy has held a unique place in the cultural landscape of the Twin Cities as both an arts presenter and rental hall since 1970. The O’Shaughnessy is conveniently located between the downtowns of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
That is nice to live in a place you like, feels good.
ReplyDeleteI think you have it made. Looks like a wonderful place!
ReplyDeleteFine to have a university as a neighbor. Good photos of the auditorium entrance.
ReplyDeleteHow nice Kate! I worked on the Florida State University campus for 35 years before retiring and I always enjoyed walking around during my lunch breaks and attending the many events that were always going on.
ReplyDeleteQuite an entrance!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a beautiful place to roam around.
ReplyDeleteI remember the wonderful campus of the University of Texas in Austin when we lived there. I spent many hours enjoying the James Michener art collection and the wonderful displays in the Harry Ransom Center. My wife and I also were thrilled to attend an appearance and talk by one of my heroes, the late Kurt Vonnegut Jr. on the campus.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image Kate, such a grand entrance. That is a great neighbor to have, the university is priceless.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are most fortunate. St. Kate's plays a role for you similar to the role Elizabeth Park plays for me when in Connecticut.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good Irish name!
ReplyDeleteWe lived in walking distance to a venue a little like this (Marin Center in San Rafael, CA). We went to many live performances, not to mention that the county fair was held there, too. Places like this are great resources.
