Flowers for a Dreary Day
Yesterday was filled with sunshine and beautiful autumn scenes. Today? Rainy, damp and dreary! There is only one way to lighten one's spirits. . . looking at the natural beauty of flowers. Again, here are a few lovely plants from the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park in St. Paul.

They are really beautiful !
ReplyDeleteI don't remember ever seeing this kind of flowers, do you know how they are called?
That did it! Now I'm ready to face the day!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! The weather here is rainy and dreary too, but behind it is some relief from the heat and humidity, so I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteI spent some happy days at Como Park in my distant youth.
ReplyDeleteI could say the same thing about our weather - yesterday a lovely warm sunny day, today still warm but cloudy and dreary and yucky. Fortunately we also have flora that helps brighten things up! Keep smiling. Are you heading to Santa Fe this winter?
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do lift the spirit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the spot of brightness on a dull day here too. No rain yet but very cloudy!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how the weather can change so drastically from one day to the next Kate, but flowers do brighten up every day ✨
ReplyDeleteI don't like drab cold days either. Pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe're experiencing similar weather.
ReplyDeleteThese flowers actually look tropical to me. I thought for a moment you'd escaped to somewhere exotic. I guess you did but returned to your own bed that night.
