The changeability in the weather would probably be welcome in winter. The photos from this winter past winter along the shore of Lake Superior were dramatic, with ice caves, etc.
It was midway between Lutsen and Grand Marais on Highway 61, north of Duluth and about 100 miles south from the Canadian border. I snapped it from a relative's house over the week-end of the fourth. Weather vacillated between brilliant sunshine and rainfalls, some of which were short-lived deluges. Fun to watch the fog roll to shore from the lake. as a kid I lived off Lake Michigan and the fog has always fascinated me. No more foghorns, tho!!
Very nice fog photography.

ReplyDeleteVery mysterious!
ReplyDeleteI've been up on the Canadian side of the lake several times, but never the Minnesota stretch of the north shore.
This is really beautiful! It immediately reminded me of our Pacific coast, though you're missing that cool, salty smell of the ocean.
ReplyDeleteI love fog, nice shot.
