Unusual Bat!

I  hope that none of the Trick or Treaters run into this strange bat on their rounds tonight.

Reminder:  The theme day for November is "Heights."

  2. Such a silly season. We've been told to expect hordes of wee, costumed visitors this evening. I want to leave town, but Lois Anne thinks we should feed the little critters candy. All the local dentists are also promoting Halloween. Wonder why that is? :)

  4. Spooky bat indeed. Happy Halloween! Regarding you questions both my wife and I grew up in St. Paul. She's a Highland Park girl and I was an East Sider who lived near Mounds Park and went to (the old) Harding on Earl St. We meet in Spring Valley where we both taught in the high school. Now retired and with my our parents long gone we don't have the occasion to visit St. Paul much anymore. I enjoyed your pictures of the downtown farmers market where my dad often took me on Saturdays morning to purchase fresh veggies we also went of "grandmas" Eisenmeingers" fruit wholesale store adjacent to the market....

  6. That is a very clever, home-made decoration!

  7. A little low to the ground, but come dark it may fly around over the visiting hobgoblins and their treats!

  9. It is big all right, but not too scary. How are you feeling these days?

  10. It looks low enough that an unsuspecting trick-or-treated might actually run into it! Did you get many children at your door?

  11. We spent Halloween on planes and in airports...and were up for 24 hours worth of it. Probably one of the longer Halloweens on record for me!
