I'm Back!

Although I love my city, I am so very sad to have left Santa Fe and the friends I have there. For another week, I'll still be posting on my santa fe-kate blog. I invite you to visit both blogs during this time.

My first breakfast after I returned.  Looks good, but there was no "zip" to it. . .very bland.  It'll take me awhile for my taste buds to stop craving green or red chile!

  5. P.s. the Lorikeets don't visit as often as the corellas and galahs Kate, that's why I can't resist snapping them whenever they do visit, they're not a protected species in fact in some cases I think they're considered a pest, not in my garden though :)

  6. Welcome home. Sorry to be bland, but my taste buds came of age in the Midwest and have not adapted to the Southwest.

  7. Yup, I know how you feel. I'd really miss the Mexican and Spanish influence on foods if I didn't live so close to it.

  8. Welcome home! Gosh, if I ate all that for breakfast, I wouldn't be able to eat anything else all day! Looks good but I would have to put some green chile on it.

  11. I've got yesterday's lunch on my blog today--we do love to photograph our food these days. Did you bring any of those chilies home with you? To add zip to your soon-to-be here winter meals?

  12. Ha! My first thought, before I read your comments, was: this needs salsa! Or even a shot of hot sauce. Heavens, the "guacamole" just looks like mashed avocado. You must have brought some bottled or dried Santa Fe home with you, didn't you? How otherwise do you expect to survive the coming cooler months??

  13. I don't think I will be showing my breakfast. A picture of a coffee mug and a banana atop the newspapers would not interest very many viewers.

  14. My breakfast on Sunday was just like this - except I added a touch of salsa & hot sauce for a kick! But the lime is a nice touch!

  15. Welcome back to St. Paul. I know how those food cravings can linger. Your breakfast certainly appeared as if it would be filled with fresh and spicy tastes.
