This mural was painted by several art students on the wall in the library in the school where I used to teach. The models were an English and a math teacher. We were a pretty liberal school in some respects but I don't think they modeled in the buff...or did they?

It must be nice for the teachers to be immortilized in their school!
ReplyDeleteSome well placed greenery in this mural.
ReplyDeleteVery creative, and very tolerant of the teachers to allow themselves to be used as a model for this type of a scene. My guess is that they are justifiably very popular teachers.
ReplyDeleteThere is not too much detail in the bodies - so I don't think they modeled in the buff. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the naif quality. A really nice mural - must be some talented artists at this school!
The Fine Arts Department is top drawer and the students regularly win local, regional, and national awards. Teachers are talented artists themselves. Wonderful department!
Deletevery well done. I hope that there was no controversy about it.
ReplyDeleteoh, that's rather risque!
ReplyDeleteI'm betting they didn't. Nice mural.
ReplyDeleteI like the little mystery question at the end. I wonder if our Ms. Kate might have played a role in this Garden of Eden scene?
ReplyDeleteWhatever happens in the Garden of Eden, stays in the Garden of Eden!
DeleteIt definitely reminds me of Henri Rousseau's jungles.
ReplyDeleteThat would NEVER go over in a Nebraska school. Lol!
ReplyDeleteA raccoon in hte Garden of Eden? Hadn't thought about that!
ReplyDeleteV
There are some very interesting critters in the Garden of Eden; a rather unexpected ecosystem!
ReplyDeleteA nice mural.
ReplyDeleteThat wouldn't have gone over with the nuns at my high school!
ReplyDeleteShe can't be Kate. The hair is too long. The students must love musing about this mural!
ReplyDeleteLots of critters hiding in this mural. The kids must have howled to see their teachers au natural. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a brown raccoon.
ReplyDeleteSomebody warn them not to eat the apple!
ReplyDeleteThe teachers were really good sports to be models for the mural. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Will we ever know Kate :)
