The Mounted Police

The Mounted Police and their horses came to our neighborhood block party, too.  They and the Canine Squad are masters of public relations!

    We have many horses here too, but not a Mounted Police.

    Very nice pictures, we have some mounted police too in Amsterdam. They are mostly used when there are some crowds to handle.

    Now that's a first in my book. I guess those mounted police can smell food from a far distance. Or maybe the horses caught the scent and headed your way and the coppers had no choice but to go along seeing as how they were aboard the horses.

    Looks like great fun for the kiddos!

    I have to think that any cop that works with animals has to be cut from a slightly different cloth than a beat cop. Or perhaps the interactions they attract are so much different that they can be more friendly. How nice that they made an appearance!
