  1. I think you have proved your point. I have several shots of myself enjoying such a ride....and I am no Spring chicken!

  2. Kate, they are a visual delight and make a child out of all of us. This one is beautiful and you know how I love carousels... This one is in counterclockwise rotation so that you can use your sword to capture a brass ring - hah!

  3. I think it's a toss up! I love a carousel with big, grown up size horses.

  4. I know someone who, in his 50's, slipped while climbing on a merry-go-round horse and severely injured his knee. I think the worst part of it was having to answer the many questions about how he injured his knee.

  6. Okay...but I didn't think they let kids this big even ride on those poor horses! :)

  12. Big kids have double fun because they have memories to relive and the pleasure of now, not to mention the happiness of little kids around them.

  13. Some time in the next few weeks, i'm going to take a Zipcar drive to Albany, Oregon, to see carousel animals being carved and painted, all as part of the city's Historic Carousel & Museum project. Thanks for reminding me to look into going with your post.

  16. I am always a little surprised to see adults on a carousel without children. Silly me!
