Camera Critters-Quite a Surprise
After exiting my house, I was surprised to see this critter on one of the hanging baskets, and it didn't move nor fly away despite my movement. When I got too ambitious and tried to remove the dead leaf so that the photo would be more attractive, the critter flew away. It was a pleasant surprise to see this beautiful creature. how considerate it was to pose so elegantly for you.
ReplyDeleteThis is a remarkable photo. If this bug landed on your book or newspaper, you would not have to shoo him away. You could read through his wings.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so transparent, especially with his green midsection matching the leaves. What a wonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of this dragonfly, Kate!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! I love those glassy wings.
ReplyDeleteI love dragonflies! They are usually hard to catch, good for you. :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant macro Kate, glad you caught it before he flew off.
ReplyDeleteThat's the trouble with these critters...the minute you start draggin' something away, the dragon fly flies!
ReplyDeleteNice shot, though!
I am always in awe of their wings. They are so delicate yet they move so fast.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!! At first I even thought it was fake! :-)
ReplyDeleteNormally, I don't like these, but he really looks artistic.
ReplyDeleteGREAT macro of that flying critter, Great Kate!
ReplyDeleteHis coloring is very striking. His head almost looks gold. What a treat for you to see him so close-up! And funny that he endured all of your attention until you tried to pretty up the place.
