One thing I missed while I was wintering in Santa Fe, New Mexico was the cheese department in Lund's grocery store. Santa Fe now has Whole Foods and Trader Joe's but no Byerlys or Lunds. Growing up in Wisconsin, cheese is a staple.

This is so fantastic and lovely !! Loved the shot !
ReplyDeleteFrom one cheesy state to another...this display looks like heaven to me.
ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive collection of cheese. I've experienced Byerly's but, haven't been to a Lund's.
ReplyDeleteBoy, that's a cheesy comment by Miller!
ReplyDeleteLund's is a nice store. Byerly's is fun but provocatively expensive. I guess that's why I like to shop there when visiting the cold northlands!

ReplyDeleteCheese omelette was "3 eggs, 4lbs cheese"....
That's alota cheese!
ReplyDeleteI heard it was a law you folks had to have so much cheese on hand at all times.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Whole Foods or Trader Joe's here in Jackson. And I doubt if we'll ever have them. The Kroger has a nice international cheese selection though. I could definitely be from Wisconsin!!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Wisconsin, the son of parents both raised on dairy farms! We all love cheese and hate, hate margarine! Butter is better! My dad was even state FFA president with a fancy blue corduroy jacket!
