All my neighbors' trees and bushes are in full bloom, but my crab apple trees have nary a bud or blossom on them. I wonder why? Perhaps it's too early or perhaps I should sing to each one. Or maybe move to Paris?
“April in Paris, chestnuts in blossom, holiday tables under the trees.”
E. Y. Harburg quotes (American Lyricist, Librettist and Song Writer, 1896-1981)
you could at least take a trip to Paris in April.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Kate, I think you must sing to them.
ReplyDeleteFinally, spring is looking fresh. Might be a bit early, yes sing to them, and by all means go to Paris!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with fertilizer.
ReplyDeleteI like that last idea!
ReplyDeleteBy all means, move to Paris. When you get there let us know and we'll come visit!
ReplyDeleteMaybe yours aren't in as sunny of a location? Or maybe they're just late bloomers? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they'll come though. Although the idea of moving to Paris is not bad!
It is odd, I've seen lilacs in full bloom just a block from my house but mine are a couple weeks away from full bloom.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty spring picture.
A handsome Highland park house! My crab tree has no flowers yet either! Zut alors!
ReplyDeleteBon weekend, Great Kate
Stay where you are. Save Paris, until. air-traffic is back to normal.
ReplyDeleteA nice place to live! Lucky people.
Our blossoms just started this week there are pink and white ones all over town. Although it was cold again yesterday. I love this house. It makes for a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the house that Todd and I were trying to buy fell thru at the 24th hour. All that work for nothing. This is the second time it has happend. Maybe Santa Fe is trying to tell us something.
What a gorgeous trees! The house looks very nice too.
