On the corner of Hamline and University sit the carts left by"civic-minded, good citizens" who have finished their shopping and gone home. Since it is at the stop of a light-rail line, it must be easy to unload the goods, hop on the rail and leave the carts for someone else to return.

ReplyDeleteMaybe if the grocery store would put a cart return slot by the rail stop. Although the unthoughtful people probably wouldn't use it.....and the land by the rail stop does not belong to the grocery store. Me oh my.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they've left litter, too. It's possible that older people may need the carts to aid mobility and carry their groceries. But lots of folks have portable carts for that...
