Taku Glacier Lodge-#13

Our float plane dropped us off at Taku Glacier Lodge for a few hours and we were unceremoniously greeted by an Alaskan native who was watching the whole proceedings from a tree not too far from the main building, one of his favorite places to sit and observe the frequent visitors. Come back tomorrow and I'll show you his main interest.

  6. What a bear! I imagine he occupies a good part of his time going after fish.

  7. Gosh he's a big one Kate, as long as his main interest wasn't you! Incroyable scenery here, the sign made me smile 'sometimes' a waterfall trail.. that's a very honest sign 😀

  8. I am impressed that you got to see a black bear, and be close enough to get this great photo. Wow, what an experience, and more important you walked away safely.

  11. The scenery alone would have been a highlight. But a bear? That's very cool as long as it keeps its distance. (I'm guessing his interest has a lot to do with food.)
