The Grand Canyon

Three paintings of the Grand Canyon were part of the collection of the paintings in the exhibit, Seeing Nature, which I mentioned yesterday.

  4. Looks like a great show at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. David Hockney uses a unique color pallet, and I would love to see the Turners in this show.

  5. The South Rim of the Canyon is 132 miles from my front door yet I rarely go there. These pictures are wonderful though.

  8. A canyon that is aptly named. Haven't been there in years but I remember its vastness and glorious colors very well.

  9. Dow's colors are the closest to those I saw at the north rim of the Grand Canyon. (Hate to sound so provincial but Hockney's colors remind me of a fruit salad.)
