A Place of Interest Where a Person of Interest
Lived and Wrote a Famous Novel
F. Scott Fitzgerald, one of our boys, ya know, lived in this house on 599 Summit Avenue when he wrote his first novel. In the coming weeks I will post a few of the homes in which he lived and the places where he would hang out.
Scott had met Zelda, his future wife, while serving in the army. Originally she had not wanted to marry Scott because of his uncertain financial future, but after the publication of the novel, she apparently changed her mind. They did not remain long in Minnesota and led a busy, often debt-ridden existence, as international icons of the Jazz Age.
The first non-Minnesota person who correctly identifies the title of this novel will get a postcard from St. Paul from me!!
PS. Don't forget to post a photo tomorrow for the May 1st Theme: Squares
