Santa Lawn Decoration

My neighbors definitely go all out for holidays with outdoor lights and decorations.  Every year this Santa works diligently before the holidays, making toys for good neighborhood boys and girls.

PS.  Enjoy the first day of winter!! This Saturday is the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, marking our shortest daylight period and longest night of the year.

  1. A sweet Santa sitting in the snow. A winter we don't have here yet, rain and high temperatures and very dark days.

  2. A very cute Santa! I am definitely looking forward to longer days. It gets dark at 4.30pm here and that is sometimes very depressing.

I am always happy to see the winter solstice because now the days begin to get longer, although the worst of winter is still ahead.

  11. I wouldn't have realized it was winter solstice if I haven't read it. Long nights are ahead I guess.

  13. Hi Kate! I've been busy at the North Pole helping Santa get things ready for Christmas! Plus, I needed a break. But now am back sporadically for awhile. Hope you are doing well.

Re these lawn Santas: We've got lots of the blow-up kind. They look rather funny without air in them, laying sprawled on lawns throughout the neighborhood.

Hope you're well and wishing you a great holiday season!

  14. Oh that is too cute! I love these short days. I don't feel so guilty about putting on my robe and slippers if it's dark outside!
