  3. Absolutely agree with Jo, go there on your tiptoes!

  4. I love old buildings like this. Reminds me of happy travels across the desert in Western USA where you see abandon shacks like this frequently. They all must have a story to tell. Cheers, Kate.

  5. That's a magnificent building - I wonder will it be 'rescued' before it crumbles away to nothingness??

  6. I don't think it will stand much longer.

  7. A perfect site for this them. I have many photos of old barns that I've taken in Missouri or Illinois when I've been visiting there but they are much harder to find in the Phoenix area.

  12. Beautiful indeed, it looks like it's been weathering gracefully for a long time. Makes me think of old film stills:)

  20. This reminds me of Bodie, Calif., an old mining town maintained by the state of California - as a park - in a state of "arrested decay." It's in an area of great weather extremes and the buildings in the town look much like this one, gamely standing up to whatever Mother Nature is sending its way.

  25. I wonder what hopes and aspirations the people had who built this home and why it was eventually abandoned. This photo really stirred up some emotions in me.
