Bonfire

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

To me it sounds a bit like choosing heaven or hell - I'm an atheist, and try to work positive for the world and people on earth. The only judge is me, and looking in the mirror day after day my hope is, an older face gives more and more wisdom :)

  8. I cast my vote for the fire, it's raining here now. About the beautiful poem, I think fire would be quicker anyway...

  9. Mississippi has been in a severe drought, but we finally got some rain last night. Maybe they will lift the burn ban now.

Nice poem to go with the picture.
