ABC WEDNESDAY-"X"-XENOPHOBES?

Protestors gathered outside the Governor's Mansion to protest a change in a welfare health care program. These people are not xenophobes in the truest sense of the word, but they are displaying contempt toward the decisions of our governor! The protestors carried signs and placards expressing their displeasure...Governor Pawlenty as Scrooge!
A trooper came out to meet the crowd and to advise them not to affix their signs to the property.  It was all very cordial and civilized.  I'm happy to be able to live in a country where people can express their feelings without landing in prison or having their head cracked open! 1. beau photo-reportage, même si j'avoue ne pas tout comprendre. Mais X pour Xénophobes ( ;( )est un bon choix

  3. Why do they want to insult Scrooge? I see its 72 in Mazatlan.

  10. Sometimes we forget just how lucky we are to live in a country with such freedom of protest...thanks for the reminder!!!

Check out the following link to see just how different protest can be in other, less fortunate countries...

  11. I suppose I wouldn't say xenophobic, either. We DO have a bit of it in the US, but also an ability to have reasonable discourse - sometimes.

  12. It's nice when protest stops before bloodshed starts. Happy New Year!

  13. This would never have happened when the much-respected Jesse was Guv! Rowdy Roddy Piper and Sargent Slaughter would keep the riff-raff away from the Guv's Gate anyhow. Can you say "bodyslam"? Jes-eee! Jes-eee! Jes-eee! :D
