A friend who saw my photo blogs for the first time mentioned that I use "a lot of colourful images," which made me review my recent posts, and he was right. Don't know whether it was a compliment, merely an observation, or a critique. I looked through my archives and decided to experiment and edit. I took and posted in colour this coyote fence in Santa Fe, NM several years ago. Which do you prefer, the B&W or the colour?
The B&W looks more dramatic. In this case I prefer it.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Karl, b&w looks more dramatic but I also like the colour of the fence. If I had to choose one version, I would pick the colour one simply because of the fence.

ReplyDeleteI do love black and white images Kate but I think in this case the textural element of the fence comes over better in colour.. and then there's those magnificent blue tinged mountains in the background ✨
ReplyDeleteI like them both. If I were making it black and white, I'd probably crop it a bit tighter to show less sky.
