Norwegian Mittens

I should dedicate this post to my young friend, Sasha, whose mittens look as gorgeous as these! Guess you have to be Norwegian to knit so that your mittens look like this!

After reading about the Norway House on Franklin Avenue, a friend and I went there yesterday morning to check it out.  Located behind Mindekirken, the Norwegian Lutheran Church, this small coffee and gift shop is a little gem.  The mittens are beautiful, and I am sure they are worth $60.00, but it was a little pricey for my budget.  Aren't they beautiful, tho?!

  1. They are beautiful, and I like the hat. Knitting is something I never learned to do. Maybe I am not too old to learn?

Speaking of my friend winning the trip. You would not believe all of the trips and things I have won..and no I do not spend my time entering contests..I am just very lucky.

  2. Oh my they are stunning! I love all kinds of mittens and hats. Winter and I have come to an understanding....that would be a bit steep for my budget as well but think of how much happiness you would get putting them on in February....over, and over and over!

  7. I like them, but refuse to buy them. I'm just going to have to the chance that it doesn't snow here this winter.

  10. Those are really pretty. But I'd find it a daunting task to knit them!

  11. They are nice, but I hope my days for needing warm, WARM mittens are behind me. Though I have kept a gorgeous Norwegian sweater, just in case . . .
