What could be prettier than a white picket fence and lilacs blooming behind it! I can almost smell the fragrance.
You and Lowell are quite right about the lack of recognition and poor treatment of the American Indian by our government. My husband lived and worked on the Navajo reservation for several years back in the 1960's and my son is married to an American Indian and works on the Hualapai reservation in north west Arizona. There is a beautiful memorial at Window Rock commemorating the code talkers. I posted a picture of it last year.
The lilacs are beautiful! I used to have several in my yard, but everything got overgrown and messy, so I ripped it all out and started over last year. Photos like this make me miss it.
purple is always good, my favorite color.... btw, when i was in the netherlands in december, me and biebkriebels were in the same warehouse in amsterdam, only we didnt see each other! figure it out when i posted a picture taken there... :) so yes, who knows, when i finally live there again....
