Goodwill Everywhere

Goodwill stores seem to be everywhere, all over our 50 states. Finding treasures there is so rewarding! One of the best Goodwill treasures is Dee who helps manage the store on University and Fairview Avenues. Include Goodwill in your next shopping tour. Perhaps I'll see you there!

Welcome to My Blog! Or is this redundant??!!

An appropriate way to begin, I think! I took my trusty old Sony digital Mavica camera with a whopping 1.6 mega pixels (but a lovely large viewing screen) on a short errand to find a picture to start my photoblog. After only 5 minutes I decided that I really do not SEE as I go about my daily life. I'm delighted to have discovered that this blog is going to teach me a few things about SEEING!

This sign is placed at the entrance of the school where I used to teach, and after 26 years in a classroom, I retired on June 3, 2003 from St. Paul Academy-Summit School where "all the men are strong, the women good-looking, and the children above average."

Getting Started

Perhaps I should wait for a day which is easier to remember, like June 1, 2006 but I think today is just as good a day as ever. I'm intrigued by the idea of posting one photo a day that reflects the city of St. Paul. Now I can experiment with photos and see if I can be creative. Not a bad goal!
