Meet Peter who was one of my students when he was in 8th grade. Not only was he one of my favorites then, he remains so now, not as a student but as an artist. Yesterday we went to his studio for his annual Holiday Sale and to watch his glass blowing demonstration. Come back tomorrow, and I'll show you some of his work.

Haha. We are both featuring glass blowers today.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to mention that, Kitty. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so startling when your former students have gray hair! How lovely that you have stayed in touch. I'm finding that Facebook helps me stay up to date with many of my former students (and they tend to number in the hundreds, don't they?).
ReplyDeleteI'll be back tomorrow! I love glasswork.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back tomorrow too. It's so nice to keep in touch with one's students, isn't it? (that's what I do on Facebook).
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sharon, I can't wait for tomorrow! So nice that you have stayed in touch all these years.
ReplyDeleteNice portrait photograph, Kate. I keep telling myself to take more photographs of people. We should all (try to) emulate Steffe.
ReplyDeleteNo snow in Hartford. The forecasts have the northeaster going east, maybe RI and the Cape (check the Patriots game tonight), mostly out to sea.
That is so great! I will be back to see his work.
ReplyDeleteKate, a great portrait of an artist, and I'll be back to see more of the glass!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are on the mend and you can help us keep JB in line!
Bises,
