It almost looked like magic whenever Peter put an object into one of the furnaces, removed it, and then placed it back in another furnace to continue the shaping process. Each step seemed to take on a life of its own. Fascinating to watch. This bowl is going to be a beauty after it has cooled and is truly finished. I can't show any of the pieces Peter made during the demonstration because they each needed to be placed immediately in a special case in order to cool. Tomorrow I'll show you just a few of the many pieces for sale in his showroom. |
le résultat est magnifique, c'est ton cadeau de noël ?
ReplyDeleteI've watched glassblowers at work too. It was very interesting and very impressive. What a special atmosphere! Very nice shots of this great job.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what you brought home with you that day, Kate...other than these wonderful images.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautful bowl in the making. I can't wait to see the showroom.
ReplyDeleteWow! It would seem like magic to me too.
ReplyDeleteWow that is so amazing. I would love to be that artistic.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous series of photos! It's amazing what glass blowers can do.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you're back to blogging full-time. I haven't been able to update my Jackson blog since I don't have any photos here in Berlin. But I have plenty of shots on my travel blog. We've got plenty of snow here. I'll be sort of glad to get back to warmer weather. But it does feel more CHristmassy with the snow. :)
His work is amazing! - at least this piece is.
ReplyDeleteIt is starting to take form. I think they payoff is coming soon. I'll be back tomorrow.
